Urban Outreach
Urban Outreach is a program of the Tempe First United Methodist Church, located at 215 E. University Drive, which provides services to the homeless and working poor of Tempe. Services provided address the basic needs of individuals- food, shelter, showers, healthcare and clothing. They also help guests obtain needed social services and provide opportunities for education and lifting the spirit. They serve people of all faiths and welcome volunteers from all faiths. At all programs the guests are treated with kindness and respect to make them feel like they are part of a caring community.
Urban Outreach is always looking for volunteers. They have programs on Monday and Friday mornings from 6:00am to 11:00am and Monday through Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
